Western Marine Shipyard Ltd. operates designated Training Institute under the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) and the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP).
Both programs are funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) through the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh, and implemented by the Association of Export-Oriented Shipbuilding Industries of Bangladesh (AEOSIB).
These programs are designed to equip trainees with industry-relevant knowledge, technical competencies, and hands-on practical experience. Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are offered better employment opportunities in the shipbuilding and industrial sectors in the domestic market and overseas, contributing to the development of skilled workforce in Bangladesh as well as earning foreign currency.
