Our mother company, Western Marine Services Ltd., was formed by marine professionals specialised in ship repair and the export of marine supplies — with one ambition: a cluster of technological excellence to meet the global demand of the maritime industry.
What began in 2000 as a 1.5-acre yard for inland vessels on the eastern bank of the Karnaphuli has grown, through an investment of Tk. 300 crore, into a 42-acre shipyard equipped with hi-tech and heavy-tech machinery.
Today we build for port authorities, government agencies and international owners — and are listed on both the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges.

Our design office develops the vessel with the owner and secures approval from the classification society.
Design, fabrication, outfitting and trials all happen at our own yard — keeping quality and schedules in our hands.
Steel is cut, welded and assembled into mega-blocks in our covered fabrication sheds.
Outfitted, launched and sea-trialled before handover to the owner, at home or abroad.

Certified by GL, DNV and Bureau Veritas, and listed on the DSE and CSE under WMSHIPYARD. Our board, financial statements and price-sensitive disclosures are published openly for clients and investors.
