Western Marine Shipyard Ltd. is undertaking the construction of two inland passenger vessels, M.V. BANGATORI and M.V. BANGAMATA, for the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).
With an overall length of 74.20 metres, these vessels are designed for passenger transportation on Bangladesh’s inland waterways. The project reflects the importance of modern vessel construction in supporting river transport and improving connectivity between communities across the country.
Through this project, Western Marine Shipyard continues to contribute to the development of Bangladesh’s inland water transport infrastructure.
